Wade Robson’s 2016 deposition in his case against Michael Jackson’s estate not only exposes lies and inconsistencies, but also shows his extensive research of pedophile material. The Wade Robson deposition exposes how abuse claims against Michael Jackson ‘evolved’.
According to a film called Lies of Leaving Neverland, before suing Jackson’s estate, Robson first began shopping for a book deal that claimed he was sexually abused and was deposed about the contents of the book. Wade Robson’s deposition exposes how abuse claims against Michael Jackson “evolved”.
While starting to write about his interactions as a child with Jackson, email correspondence shows what may have inspired his graphic continuously changing testimony in the book and in Leaving Neverland.
The Original Story Book
Robson claimed to start writing his book about molestation in 2012 and requested material from his mother Joy Robson’s project, a book she tried to write 2 to 3 years prior.
In the beginning of writing, the subject matter didn’t contain any information about sexual abuse.
“I remember just wanting to write a story about what she thought was our story at that point, meaning my family’s story, and what she thought was the true story between Michael and I, meaning, what she thought was the true story, that there was no abuse.”

The Square One Documentary exposed that the profiting headlines for Michael Jackson usually center around allegations of molestation. Robson was among many Jackson family acquaintances approached by the press to slander Jackson before and after his death. In response to Robson’s allegations in Leaving Neverland, Austin Brown (Michael Jackson’s nephew), tweeted:
“Wade 10 years ago told me personally how he was offered money to do exactly what he’s doing now but would never because it NEVER happened and he loved MJ. Funny how 10 years later after his multiple tributes and Michael now being dead this comes out of left field. What I’m telling you is a fact so it’s up to you to decipher for yourself. Hopefully you’re smarter than that.”

Research and Inspirations
On the path of writing his book, Robson continuously asked his mother for assistance to help him remember details. In his 2016 testimony, he claimed that he spent 50% of his time reading news, magazine and internet articles, pertaining to child sexual abuse. Among some materials were recommended reads for abuse survivors but it was also found that he visited an anti-Jackson website, a site fixated on portraying Michael Jackson as a pedophile.
He emailed himself information from the web page, when questioned about the content of the site Robson claimed he couldn’t remember and didn’t know the sites views. Allegations on the website have been successfully discredited in court, but Robson repeats the proven lies as if they were his own experience.
Square One goes into depth about the involvement of Victor Gutierrez in all Jackson’s child sexual abuse cases. In Robson’s testimony he admitted that he was also familiar with Gutierrez and that he knew the author approached his mother about Jackson being a pedophile. Its unlikely that Robson would’ve remembered this one time encounter, leading some to believe that he read Gutierrez’s book titled: Michael Jackson Was My Lover, advertised as statements from the diary of Jordan Chandler. Gutierrez’s book portrays a young boy as a lover enjoying a sexual relationship with an adult male. The pro-pedophilia material may have been used by Robson to get inspiration for his own claims. The descriptions of sexual abuse by both accusers in Leaving Neverland were vastly similar to the book’s contents. Some may conclude that this makes the accusers more credible. The problem? The book has already been thoroughly discredited in a court room and by the Chandler family themselves.
Michael Jackson won a slander suit against Gutierrez in 1995. Jackson sued against the contents of the book and also allegations that Gutierrez possessed a tape of the entertainer “having sex” with a 13 year old boy. No tape or proof of the claims made by Gutierrez exists. Why would Wade Robson choose this type of material to replicate?
When questioned if his memories changed during his writing process Robson stated: “They’ve evolved.” When asked to explain what he meant by “evolved”, he responded:
“I mean not changed in a sort of black to white sense, like I thought it was this thing – Well, I mean, they have as far as prior to the healing process, prior to disclosing, but post-disclosing the abuse in 2012 and beginning that healing journey, they’ve evolved as far as I remember more details about scenarios as it goes along.”
